I never understood why Sinclair, to keep things as cheap as possible, didn't just create a ZX extension to centronix parallel and let the printer manufacturing to others, instead of investing in this "printer", especially because those who bought the ZX (8x and spectrum) were teenagers and a printer was not their primary choice in term of extension, memory yes, joystick(s) yes, eventually microdrive(s) but printer rarely. If a parallel extension had existed from Sinclair, for those with parents already having a PC or another "professional" machine with a matrix printer, buying this extension would have been a better option than this A5 grey paper thermal printer, not even usable for homework. Especially because it existed, "Inter Printer", released in '83, but I discovered it long after my Speccy has became a nostalgia machine, it offers 3 printer mode EPSON, MCP(a kind of thermal printer) and ACCORN, in other word only EPSON mode for "modern" printers .

Such a shame it shut down!! There in the 1980's , recognised one part of the ground floor and where my locker was. On snowy dsys always prayed we would be called over the tanoy to go home on the bus, was always near enough second to last to leave. Happy days 😆

My beloved Tabby Mr.B had this happen to him last week. He was in a lot of pain and I could tell he was trying to be strong for me. I rushed him to the vet and he had to be euthanized. Just before he passed he placed his paw in my palm.😭😭

Hi - great video, thank you for doing this! I have one and had to remove the front panel below the cassette deck, where the treble/bass knobs are, in order to retrieve something that fell inside. When I took the panel off, the spring that tenses the panel popped out i can't work out how to put it back in - do you know if I'd need to disassemble the whole machine to do it? Thanks in advance

Thank you for sharing the video of Filey when he got home that night..my cat is limping on his hind leg, not as severely as Filey, but it's Sat night & I'm coming thru videos trying to see what cats look like with this disorder when one leg is affected..I'm getting my cat to the vet asap but none of the animal hospitals around me open til Monday a.m.!! Wth r u supposed to do on wknds if ur pet gets injured?!! Luckily I have a friend who is a vet who will give me pain meds for my cat so I can at least keep him comfy til Monday a.m. when I can bring him strait to the vet first thing..I just wanted to thank you for showing the footage bcz it helps me try to figure out if it's saddle thrombus or not .I'm so sry for the loss of Filey cat..if my cat has this I won't b able to afford the cost of the meds they hafta stay on for life..I just pray it's not this saddle thrombosis..

I lost my baby TJ , the same thing happened to him , he was only 6:4 years old . I am devastated and just still trying to understand why this happened. They discovered he had Advanced HCM and made a decision without me to put him down , which I can never get over . If they told me I would have spent every min of that day with my beautiful baby TJ .
